Story Name:A Might's Fright

Story:
A flicker of light showed through the dark fog. A muffled cry
sounded within it. Something trudged through to the source of the
voice. A small gleam of red; bloodthirsty eyes. With a sudden ripping
noise, the creature snarled, then nothing could be heard except quiet
rustling.
"No, NO!" a scream pierced through the darkness. A loud, inhuman screech silenced the person whom the voice belonged to.


“NOO!!”
Jennifer suddenly shot up, blanket throw off her small bed. Looking
around, she brushed away her messy, dark brown hair. “It was only a
dream..” she whispered, trying as much as to convince herself. Her dark
brown eyes fluttered slightly, then she shut them tight, falling back
to the fluffy pillow with a sigh.
Jennifer was a girl of 13 and,
like everyone, knew that Halloween was coming up. She liked Halloween.
Who didn’t? Perhaps she would dress up like a witch this year. Maybe
even go trick-or-treating with her friends or relatives.
Calming
down, Jennifer concluded that her nightmare was the result of
before-Halloween jitters. “Whatever,” she mumbled, falling back into a
deep sleep, her blanket tightly wound in her arms. Around her small,
white room with a lot of accessories, the shadows flickered, creeping
up around Jennifer. She turned in her sleep, slamming her arm down on
the other side of the bed. The shadows, disrupted, merged back into the
darkness, the lights outside her bedroom window dimming. The tree
branches, swinging in the breeze, ceased, a sudden silence crept over
the street, and over Jennifer’s house.
