In algebra distributive property works as follows.
Everything inside the parenthesis gets multiplied by what ever is outside.
3(5+8)
You would take 3*5 to get 15 and 3*8 to get 24.
So now all you have is 15+24=39.

250Haha, iKinky answered the question exactly how I would. The Distributive Property is easy to learn; it's just the Associative Property that I have trouble learning.
