The computer is a open-source database where anyone can hack, easy if you do not have virus protection! I recommend that you get some before it's to late and lose all your data.

You may be daring, and not start any protection hoping with a leap of faith you won't need protection, But the thing you don't know that every where you visit could be a threat, ifs it one thing, its another. Some sites like these may be scanned as cleaned, but sometimes members post links to other sites that contain Viruses,Trackers, Ect.

Do you play games on your computer? Games that needs internet connection? do you know that people can hack you through the games? it possible as you I.P. Address is listed in the Codes in the game, only experienced hackers from the training span of 3-5 years can do this, as it hard to learn the hacking sheld base.

Has anyone ever told you about downloading something?
Well never download something from a site you never trust. For example lets say you see a youtube video, they ask you to download it to support there cause and increase there donations to what ever, you may not know but if it contains an .Exe file, your just buying yourself a new computer the next well. .Exe stands for execute, this starts a line of commands to do what ever on your computer. For example.

    1) You open a .Exe File
    2) It Starts the Commanders
    3) Your Computer Turns BLACK!
    4) Its Dead.

These are just some ways people can hack your computer. From a site, A download, basically anything that redirects or command.

    Tips to protect your computer.

    * Never download from an untrusted site *
    * Never Go to links that may look infectious (Check the url)
    * Always have virus protection *
    * Never Bull Sh*T Anyone, cause they might get you back *
    * Never Play games that you think have to many hackers, but if they have a really good Hack protection, its good. *

Sorry guys, i'll have more soon, time to go to sleep.

Yep, easy as that 1,2,3, commands.

Virus protection is definitely important. Now I have experience with these types of problems, having run computers using Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X. Guess which one gave me most virus problems. That's right, it was Windows. Care to guess why? It's because the majority of computers run Windows. (One of Windows greatest flaws is that it works on such a wide variety of systems, but this leaves a large number of loopholes.) There is a wide variety of both free and paid anti-virus software available. However, some of the more common programs (like Norton, AVG, or McAfee) won't stop some of the viruses. It's the same problem as with any common program. Because so many people use it, a "smart" virus will take measures to go undetected by the anti-virus software (often editing the program so that it does not find the virus). This has happened before; I once got a particularly nasty one that took over my computer, preventing me from accessing many programs and functions, because it messed with my anti-virus (I was using AVG at the time), allowing it to go undetected. Smaller, less known programs may not have as wide a coverage as the better known ones, but are usually unaffected by the viruses themselves. My advice, therefore, is to use a combination of two anti-virus programs: one brand-name to stop the majority, and one smaller program to catch what the other misses. On my Windows computers, I use AVG free and a free program called MalwareBytes (because I hate paying for anything I can get for free). Together, they protect from pretty much everything.

Some Internet Service Providers (ISP) provide anti-virus software. Such as mine (Cox Communications) provides McAfee Security Suite (It has a different UI(User Interface) from the normal version of McAfee and some extra features)

My other problem with some paid virus protection is that it is so invasive itself. Norton is practically a virus in and of itself.

I installed a disk that has .exe at the end, is it safe? I trust the company name because it is Jumpstart.

Any program file is an .exe
So long as you know what the .exe is and what it does, you should be fine. If you didn't use any .exe's, it wouldn't be possible to use any programs.

A couple of tips from my side.

Most of the viruses nowadays are spread through jump drives/memory sticks. Make sure you scan it before opening.

Always have your data backed up on DVD so that in case of a virus attack you can just format your computer from the beginning. Thats the most easy way to fight virus attacks.
